Grief is not the end - it's a Gateway

There’s so much happening in the world right now that it can feel overwhelming to even begin to process it all. Just yesterday, I found myself chatting with my sister, talking about the heartbreaking news in Iran. As the conversation turned toward the suffering, I felt my whole body resist. I didn’t want to feel those feelings. I wanted to run.

But then I paused and asked myself—why? Why was I avoiding the very real emotions that were rising up?

The truth is, grief is uncomfortable. It slows us down. It brings us into the depths of our hearts. And that can feel scary. But what I’m learning, again and again, is that grief—when we allow it—is a powerful healer.

This came full circle for me in a recent session with a dear 1:1 client, Jackelynn. She’s been bravely working to understand the roots of her self-sabotage. As we explored together, she had a powerful realization: she hadn’t allowed herself to grieve a heart-wrenching event that had shaken her to her core.

We created space for intentional grieving over the coming weeks—time carved out just for feeling, for releasing. Jackelynn later told me, “I realized fear was an illusion.” Despite the fear of feeling grief, she allowed the tears. She allowed the ache. And on the other side of that vulnerability, she found release. Forgiveness. Motivation. Lightness.

This is what happens when we tend to the inner work. When we move through rather than around our pain. Jackelynn became a mirror for me, a reminder of the strength that lives in surrender.

So I want to gently ask you:

Are you resisting grief because it feels too uncomfortable?

If so, you’re not alone.

I promise—grieving is not weakness. It’s wisdom in motion. It’s the body's way of creating space for healing and transformation.

You don’t have to do it all at once. You don’t have to do it alone. I invite you to take one small step toward what your heart is holding.

Let it move. Let it soften. Let it communicate.

If any of this resonates with you, hit reply. I’m here.

With love and light,
