Hello beautiful human!
Have you felt lately that your mind is running a mile a minute and you keep bouncing from task to task but not finishing one task?
Are you laying in bed at night wondering what it was that you ate that is bloating you up like a hot air balloon??
Are you stressed because you have no time for yourself and you just want to hit the reset button on life?
That’s exactly what countless participants also experience before the cleanse. That’s what I was feeling just before I had to do my emergency cleanse last week.
When I was off in Iceland on my vacation I made the decision to just have a little gluten, just have a little dairy….things I don’t normally eat because I know my system does not digest them well. Of course my body was working so hard since then trying to push it out of my sinuses and eyes. OOOOOOO It was not fun! 3 days into my cleanse. I felt so much better!
When your digestion is off it rings the alarm bells to your nervous system and you become hypervigilant, constantly scanning your environment for danger. Life feels harder.
When there is an increased amount of inflammation in our system (from those pesky 'oh so yummy wheat bread' slices in Iceland) it throws our body into panic mode and we are less resilient in managing stress.
When you take time to cleanse, especially in the spring when seasons are changing, we are intentionally pausing, bringing about clarity and regulating your nervous system.
When you don’t, we continue fighting the unfocused thoughts, having restless nights and feeling like you never have quiet time for ourselves along with thinking “why does everything feel hard, what’s wrong with me?”
