Improve Your Digestion

Updated: May 6

Happy New Year!

The start of the new year is the perfect time to focus on building new habits, especially those that support your health. One of the most powerful ways to boost your overall well-being is by strengthening your digestive fire! In Ayurveda, this is a key principle for maintaining energy and vitality.

These 5 tips may seem simple, but they can make a big difference in how you feel every day. They made a huge difference in my complete, daily eliminations!

To dive deeper into these guidelines, check out my Ayurvedic clock video, or read on for a few actionable steps you can start today to improve your digestion and energy.

Here’s a quick list of practices to support your digestive fire:

  • Avoid ice-cold drinks before or during meals—this can dampen your digestive fire.

  • Favor cooked foods over raw—especially in winter, as warm foods are gentler on your digestion.

  • Space your meals by at least 3–4 hours to allow your digestive system to complete each process before you eat again.

Pick one or two tips that resonate with you and start incorporating them into your daily routine today. Small changes can make a big impact on your energy and vitality!

Send me a quick email and let me know which you are going to incorporate into your daily habits!

Wishing you a healthy, energized start to the year!

Hugs,

Catherine

Hi Catherine!

Thank you for sharing the info about Ayurvedic Clock in ASL! It remind me of what I am doing right now. I try to follow the philospy of the intermitten fasting. At first I trained myself to stop eat after 6:00p and then my next goal that I train myself to not eat right away when I get up. Which it mean i will fast about 17 hours (6:00p to 10:00a) . and then from 10:00a to 6:00p my feast hour (eat high dense nutrient foods). That my goal but is that similar with Ayurvedic clock? Let me know if you want me sign it in ASL. :)

JB,

Love to see this message from you! I just noticed this from FEB! I am learning how to use my website still. haha! What you have trained yourself is great! Yes I think when we are able to have a gap of time for our digestive system to rest - we digest better! Similarly to a fire, we don't start with huge logs to get the fire going. We start with kindling (small sticks=small breakfast) to get it going and then we add in the logs (big lunch) and then little sticks (small dinner) again to nourish ourselves just before bed. Careful not having too big or heavy of a dinner so our body is able to d…
